Backpack Program
The Fargo Rotary will support the Great Plains Food Bank Backpack Program through an initial 2010 donation of $8,000 and volunteer hours. The Backpack Program is organized through the ND Food Bank and in 2010 will send home approximately 650 backpacks of food with school children. These backpacks will be packed with kid-friendly food and will go home with the children on Friday and over extended vacation times. The Fargo Rotary has pledged its support through 2013. Rotary members will also assist in packing the bags in addition to the monetary support.
